Prof. Yury A. Nozhnitskiy Graduated from Moscow Technical Aviation University in 1971.  Doctor of sciences (1997). He is a deputy General Director of the Central Institute of Aviation Motors named after P.I. Baranov (CIAM), General Director of the Certification Centre. Professor of the State Technical University named after Bauman. Prof. Yury A. Nozhnitskiy is a member of some international scientific organizations (ASME, EUCASS, ESIS), some scientific and technical councils or committees (counsel  “Reliability, life and safety of technical systems” of  Russian academy of sciences, methodical counsel “Experimental Aviation” of Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russian Federation, counsel on Airworthiness of International Aviation Committee, ISO committee on standardization of Gas Turbines, etc.), some editorial boards of scientific magazines (Herald of engine-building, etc.). Area of research: safety, reliability and integrity of gas turbine engines. An author or co-author of more than 200 publications, including some patents.
